Greco-Roman are proud to announce the long-awaited arrival of the debut album from Drums of Death, Generation Hexed, to be released in the UK on August 23rd and Europe and Japan at the end of September. The album is a collection of rave horns and love songs, ranging from blistering acid house to instrumental space hop to piano power ballads and everything in between… everything.
“This album represents a broader view of what I do. This is pop music on my terms, this is the start of something and I hope you all like it.” says Drums of Death, real name Colin Bailey.
Indeed it's already started, with the last 18 months being a roller-coaster for the lad from the Scottish fishing village of Oban: off the back of just two singles he was nominated for DJ magazine Best Newcomer, toured with Hot Chip & Peaches, remixed Franz Ferdinand, Alphabeat and Tricky and recently graced the front cover of iDJ magazine. Finding some time off during the harsh winter months of early 2010 he started Generation Hexed, an album of sex beat soul noise A&R'd by Alexander Waldron and Hot Chip's Joe Goddard and featuring Gonzales on piano.
The album will also be accompanied by a live tour and a series of dancefloor-orientated Dubs of Death that show his darker side. 'Lonely Days' and the accompanying 'Lonely Dub' are both available to download from link.
