Introducing… Mike Posner

What do you get if you cross Kid Cudi and Asher Roth with a little bit of Justin Timberlake thrown in for good measure?

MIKE POSNER.

Having started his career around 2 years ago by making mixtapes in his college dorm, Mike has since achieved cult status among students across the States and this adoration looks set to spread across the world.

Working with the likes of Labyrinth and Big Sean, Mike fuses electro pop, rock, hip-hop, soul and R&B to create a genre bending blend of mainstream music that it’s cool to like. He says:

“I’m just making pop music that’s not corny, pop music that you don’t have to call a guilty pleasure, music you don’t have to be embarrassed about. I go everywhere pop artists go but without losing my credibility.”

The first track to be released in the UK will be ‘Cooler Than Me’ which is a hot pop ode to a former crush floating somewhere between doe-eyed obsession and Mr Independent. The song has already reached number 3 in the US ITunes chart and is likely to grow and grow and grow…

‘Cooler Than Me’ will be released in November with his debut album to follow early 2010.
