Wielding guitars, samplers, synths, bass, drums and so many macho moves you don’t know where to look, Tall Ships are going to make you dance. Tall Ships fuse the energy and stylings of Battles and Foals with influences as wide ranging as Why?, Prince and Explosions In The Sky to form a dynamic musical marvel, full of excitement and intricacies.
Surrounded by creative talent in Falmouth, they spent their first rehearsals in the local W.I. hall. They’ve now moved on to Brighton, not forgetting their artistic west country friends who will continue to create artwork, videos and remixes, maintaining the creative community around them.
Released on Oxford based independent label Big Scary Monsters (Meet Me In St Louis, This Town Needs Guns, Talons) and Blood and Biscuits (Three Trapped Tigers), Tall Ships’ debut EP has had to be re-pressed to meet demand.
The band are currently in the process of putting the final touches to the follow up, and will be heading out to play songs from it all summer long, with support slots coming up with The Futureheads, 65 Days Of Static, Baddies and a full UK tour with Tubelord.
