Rizla Launch Festival iPhone App

The brand new Rizla App for the iPhone is launched this week, and is set to become the latest addition to every festivalgoer’s essentials checklist. It includes all the most important event information, performance schedules plus information on Rizla products and, most excitingly of all, guarantees that you will never lose your friends, your lodgings or the portaloos again.

Using augmented reality, the App’s key feature, The Rizlocator allows you to tag anything you like, personalise it with an image and then track it anywhere up to a 5-mile radius. It allows you to dance your way round your own personalised site map, using either Google Maps or Augmented Reality, and tailor your own landmarks.

Forget being directed by the festival’s own dodgy site map to anywhere you can hand them cash – that’s a thing of the past. From now on, you can just tag your mates, tag your motor, tag the best stages, tag the bar with the quickest service, tag that boy/girl you just met and tag the puddle where your tent once was. Once you’ve got your map ready, share the app with your mates with its bump functionality.

The App will also give you the low down on all Rizla music activities, with up-to-date news on Rizla events, information on the artists and performance schedules, plus details of all music and videos from Rizla gigs.

The App launches just in time to be downloaded for the Rizla Arena’s appearance at Lovebox Festival this weekend. The festival see three days of mouth-watering line-ups crafted by the Rizla curators Grandmaster Flash, Hot Chip and Toddla T.

Rizla doesn’t limit their involvement in high octane entertainment to just music festivals, they can also be found in MotoGP – one of the most popular motorsports in the world – sponsoring the Suzuki MotoGP team, this is also incorporated into the App.

On the MotoGP area of the App you can find the latest news, race calendar, team and rider biographies as well as the latest standings at the touch of a button and of course you can tag your wheels in the car park for a swift post-race getaway.
