Viva Espana

Whoop! The World Cup is FINALLY over. Spain won and we can all move on with our lives now. Although, I’m sure I haven’t heard the last of it yet. There is still the post-mortem to go through. The slagging off of the referees, the dissection of every goal and the rants about how the average Joe on the sofa would have been better managing the teams.

I have to admit I’ve loved the influx of chick flicks the other channels have been showing. Titanic, Miss Congeniality and Sleepless in Seattle were all on last night. Brilliant!

I just don’t understand why everything needs to stop for a football competition. It isn’t the be all and end all and some people would do well to remember that, at the end of the day, it is just a game after all.
Anyway, congrats to Spain and let’s all look forward to the more exciting things coming up this summer… holidays, festivals and barbeques. Fun in the sun (fingers crossed, it is Britain after all!!)
