Slayer To Release “”Live Intrusion”” On DVD

One of heavy metal's most respected and influential bands, Slayer release a new DVD “Live Intrusion” on August 16th and two other DVD's “War On Warfield' And “Still Reigning” are re-released on the same day through American Recordings/Columbia Records.

“Live Intrusion” captures Slayer at their heaviest on their Divine Intervention tour in 1995. and was filmed at the Mesa Amphitheater in Mesa, Arizona on March 12, 1995. The concert, features classics “Raining Blood”, “At Dawn They Sleep”, “Hell Awaits” as well as a cover of the Venom song “Witching Hour” performed by Slayer with Chris Kontos & Robb Flynn of Machine Head.

“War On Warfield” and Still Reigning represent two historical eras of the Slayer Legacy; the latter a reunion celebration with beloved drummer Dave Lombardo, and the former the swan-song of his replacement Paul Bostaph.

Each DVD highlights a classic Slayer album and features the band doing what they do best, raw and passionate thrills. The glory of a live Slayer performance is all here; audience mayhem, head-banging and the band soaked in fake blood while the drums pound and guitars shred at extreme volumes and whilst lyrically covering suicide, genocide, necrophilia, insanity, religion, serial killers, and warfare.

Filmed at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, California on December 7, 2001, War at the Warfield features a God Hates Us All-heavy set, but also features classics such as the title song from 1985’s Hell Awaits; “Postmortem,” “Raining Blood,” and “Angel of Death” from 1986’s Reign in Blood, and “Mandatory Suicide” and the title song from 1988’s South of Heaven. Bonus materials include the music video “Bloodline” and a 48-minute documentary, Fans Rule, showcasing footage of fans giving their unique commentary on their favourite band.

Filmed at the Augusta Civic Center in Maine, USA on July 11, 2004, Still Reigning showcases Slayer’s 1986 album, Reign in Blood, played in its’ entirety with the four original band members. Also included from the same show are performances of Slayer classics such as “Necrophiliac” from 1985’s Hell Awaits and “War Ensemble.” Bonus materials include a 17-minute interview with the band, In Their Own Words, where they discuss their early years and influences.
