The Hoosiers To Play iTunes Festival

Pop band The Hoosiers have announced that they are to play the iTunes festival on July 29th, 3 days before the release of their highly acclaimed brand new single ‘Choices’.

‘Choices’ will be released on August 1st (on RCA/24-7 recordings), and is setting up to be huge! It has already been playlisted on radio 1 (B list) and 2 (A list) 3 weeks upfront, and the video is flying up the video airplay chart having been playlisted across the board. It also has had an incredible 140,000 youtube views within its two week lifespan!

If you thought you knew the Hoosiers, think again. Three years after they first stormed the charts with their feelgood brand of fizzy pop, with singles such as ‘Worried About Ray’ and ‘Goodbye Mr A’; and shifting over 600,000 copies of their debut album ‘The Trick To life’, the pop trio have returned with a brand new sound which slots them straight into 2010 whilst firmly establishing their pop base. The Hoosiers are a band whose primary aim is to push the boundaries of pop, and the new album ‘The Illusion of Safety’ (released on August 16th) does just that.

Out are the skippy beats, perky melodies, lashings of falsetto and nods to 70s soft rock that defined their previous sound, and in come synths, dancefloor-friendly beats, a dash of Giorgio Moroder and triumphant, multi-tracked choruses that recall the pomp of the Pet Shop Boys’ ‘Go West’.

2010 is the year of The Hoosiers. Mark my words.
