Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Cover The Pogues For Dr Martens

Dr Martens 50th Anniversary carries on apace. This week we released the sixth of ten unique and inspiring covers and reworkings of cult classic tracks by contemporary artists.

Having already seen Buraka Som Sistema make over Neneh Cherry, Dam Funk covering The Human League, The Cinematic Orchestra doing a version of Jeff Buckley’s ‘Lilac Wine’, and now Black Rebel Motorcycle Club put their mark on The Pogues’ ‘Dirty Old Town’. Stripping it back to just acoustic guitar and voice, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have laid it bare in all its beauty.
