These New Puritans Give Away Free Hologram Remix

These New Puritans forthcoming single 'Hologram', out 9th August 2010, is the third to be taken from the band's sophomore album 'Hidden' released earlier this year to huge critical acclaim. The band recently invited Traverse City/Chicago trio SALEM to remix the track, after Heather Marlatt from the group lent her vocals to the album 'Hidden'.

SALEM are currently spearheading a new movement in their self named 'drag' music genre. With their debut album 'KING NIGHT' due for release in September there really isn’t a more perfect time for these two innovative bands to team up.

SALEM's remix takes the minimalist percussion and dreamy backing vocals of the original These New Puritans track and massages them into a murky choral infinity over which Jack Donoghue's chopped'n'screwed style draws you into their dead-eyed trance.

And a reminder that following on from the release of ‘Hologram’, genre-defying quartet These New Puritans are set to present a full live performance of Hidden, their utterly unique album released earlier this year, featuring a 15-piece ensemble of brass, woodwind, percussion and live Foley artistry.

At a series of exclusive dates through October to November, These New Puritans present Hidden Live, the only chance to hear this music as it was originally recorded. The performances will be conducted by Andre De Ridder in London, Antwerp and Paris.

October 23 – Barbican, London
November 20 – Crossing Border Festival, Antwerp
December 19 – Grande salle de concert / Centre Pompidou, Paris

In the meantime, you can still catch the band at the following festivals throughout summer

July 24 1234 Festival London
July 31 Field Day London
Aug 1 Kendal Calling Festival Lake District
Aug 7 Standon Calling – Twisted Licks London
Aug 21 Greenman Festival Brecon Beacons
