Kele has emerged fighting fit with his incredible, critically acclaimed debut album ‘The Boxer’, a joyous mixture of bouncing electronic dancefloor beats and songwriting that’s both celebratory and sensitively confessional. It has completely turned ghettoised indie-boy pre-conceptions of who Kele is and what he represents on their head.
Second single ‘Everything You Wanted’ mixes Kele’s more romantic, introspective side with pulsating electro beats, a haunting metronomic piano and an soaring chorus which combine to deliver a heavyweight emotional punch, landing in a wonderfully unique place somewhere between and Orbital and Arcade Fire. The polar opposite of ‘Tenderoni’ in tempo but still as joyously affecting and undeniably Kele.
Look out for remixes from Fred Falke, RAC, Disco of Doom, DJ Mujava and Punks Jump Up.
Currently garnering critical acclaim with his new live show, Kele is walking tall and having fun. See below for summer dates.
