This album is the bands debut and in my opinion they should leave it at this!
After listening to the record it seems to me that the band have no given direction. Not one member has said we need to sort out what kind of band we want to be. There seems to be no identity with them. The only people I feel they may appeal to are those in the very early teens. Those who thought the lyrics of ‘Shake Shake’ have depth and meaning.
The first couple of tracks have these really odd and unusual breaks which consist of noise arrangements like static, they give the illusion that the track might change in someway, like in attitude or tempo, but it doesn’t. The only purpose it serves is to annoy… unless you are looking for a distraction from the track.
The most heartfelt song on this album is ’Get Lost’ and this is simply because they seem to have put some feeling into their poorly constructed lyrics.
The New Loud don’t seem to be going anywhere with this self recorded, self produced album. They’re confused as to their direction and seem to be just piling as many of their influences into a track as they can, therefore muffling the sound of something that if they got their act together could be great.
So if you’re a twelve year old teeny pop/rocker and you love this shit then it’s all yours, I’m not going to fight you for it.
