You! – To Disappear

Discovered by Jamie Harley (Schmooze!, video director for Memory Tapes/Prizes/Memoryhouse) and newly-signed to Kuskus/Discograph, You! is the Parisian duo of Romuald Boivin and José Reis Fontao. Their first single, To Disappear, mixes a dizzy grace and a lo-fi dissonance with an itchy, agitated blueprint.

The accompanying video takes the track to new, heightened, almost schizophrenic extremes of romanticism and debauchery. It shows the marked difference between the melancholy private and exuberant public life of the troubled protagonist, soundtracked by an irresistible chiming guitar line and a divine melody arc.

You! release their eponymously titled debut album on Kuskus / Discograph this summer.
