Gorillaz - On melancholy Hill
Album Review

Gorillaz – On melancholy Hill

What is with the time warp going on at the moment? Some bands are really winding back the clock as far as their sound is concerned.

Whilst we can probably let the Gorillaz off the hook a bit as they know how to mix a tune up or two, but this is retro 80’s synth-pop backing at its best. A basic melody that sounds partly vangelia, and partly like it’s being played through Spectrum Computer Game.

This track isn’t even going to get near the heights of the likes of “Dare,” but it is still a likeable enough simple tune. Bouncing in its rhythm, but hardly one to hit the moves on – That would be way too embarrassing. This is more the tune you listen to in private without others around.

It also comes with a couple of versions for you to sit and smile to.
