Filth Takes Over Sankeys

Summer is in full swing; Filth are partying hard out in Ibiza on boats, beaches and in bars, but their duties back home have not been forgotten… On July 30th they serve up another tasty slice of rave cake with a host of top notch headliners.

First up is Frenchman Oxia who often tops charts over at influential site Resident Advisor for his lush, deep house productions. He releases on well respected labels like 8 Bit, Tsuba and Dubfire’s Sci+Tec and has recently had his tracks used by Agoria on his impressive Balance mix.

Format: B have been in the game a while with their micro house, intricate productions getting a regular airing from DJs like MANDY and others. Releasing on labels like Highgrade, the German pair have a wealth of experience of how to work a dancefloor. In the tight knit and hedonistic environs of Sankeys, they are sure to shine as they do all over the world at places like Global Gathering or matter.

Dutchman DJ Madskillz is a much in demand producer, remixer and DJ with over 90 tracks to his name. For over 20 years he has released on labels like Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 Records, Stealth Records (run by Roger Sanchez), current darling Dutch labels Area Remote and 100% PURE (run by scene godfather 2000 and One) and Bitten.

Whatsmore, together with tech house master 2000 and One, Madskillz was part of classic acid house duo Edge of Motion in the early 90s. Fast forward back to the here and now, though, and his latest releases are getting banged by techno big hitters like Adam Beyer, Luciano, Tiefschwarz, Marco Carola and a load more. To catch the man expertly spinning his track-y, jacking tech beats will be a real summer treat, then.

Of course the ever important and always reliable Filth residents also get in on the party: Danny Savage, Luke Pompey, King Tut & the Wookie and Toolroom Knight’s Chris Special will all be on rotation playing the sort of floor igniting, foot shifting and ass wiggling house, tech and electro tunes which keep you going all night long. It’s time to get back to rave and the derelict warehouses which surround Sankeys only add to that acid house vibe – get on it!
