The Monkey Shoulder Tree House Comes To The Big Chill

The Monkey Shoulder Tree House will be returning to The Big Chill festival this summer after scoring a huge hit with the crowds last year.

The Monkey Shoulder Tree House is a giant tree house bar carefully crafted from sustainable timber and reclaimed whisky barrels. With branching pods, plus plenty of outdoor seating and delicious cocktails on offer, it’s the most original place to visit on the festival circuit.

Situated at the top of The Enchanted Garden, The Monkey Shoulder Tree House provides the ultimate treetop hideaway at The Big Chill to rest weary welly-clad feet and enjoy an ice-cold Monkey Shoulder Triple Malt Scotch Whisky cocktail.

Extreme Tees: Graffiti Gear
Monkey Shoulder knows that everyone has a unique style, so they have teamed up with world renowned Graffiti Kings to help visitors to the Tree House create their own festival souvenir.

The Graffiti Kings will be running graffiti workshops throughout The Big Chill to help visitors customise their own Monkey Shoulder t-shirt. Tree House visitors can let their creativity run wild, as they scribble, stencil and scrawl their way all over their own piece of monkey gear and become the envy of all their mates.

Thirsty Work: Refreshing Cocktails
Master mixologist Dean Callan will be creating fresh cocktails with a twist to capture the funky festival spirit. Amongst others on the menu will be the Monkey Mule which mixes Monkey Shoulder with fresh lime, sugar syrup and ginger beer while a Show Me the Monkey cocktail combines Monkey Shoulder whisky, Drambuie, apple juice and fresh mint.

After choosing their cocktail visitors to the Monkey Shoulder Tree House will be able to play classic board games on games tables carved from old whisky barrels and chill out to the sounds of live DJs. It will be the perfect way to while away the hours and enjoy the vibe whilst taking a break from the hustle and bustle of festival life.

Monkey Music: Open Deck Sessions
Open deck sessions will be running throughout the day where bedroom DJs to budding turntabalists are invited to the Monkey Shoulder DJ booth to show off their mixing skills.

With its hill-top views of the festival, the Monkey Shoulder Tree House is also the best place hang out as the sun sets. This year sees the return of the legendary sundown sessions with top DJs swinging by to get the crowds warmed up for a night of festival fun.
