Frightened Rabbit Extend Winter Tour
Frightened Rabbit have announced three additional dates to their UK Winter Tour in November/December, including two dates in Ireland, and a second date added at Glasgow's Barrowlands, all on sale from today.
The band return to the UK briefly over the next couple of weeks to play Summer Sundae in Leicester this weekend, and their first V Festival shows the following weekend. The band are currently in the US, having played Lollapalloza at the weekend – one stop in a long summer of international festival appearances off the back of this year's stunning 'Winter Of Mixed Drinks' album that has seen the band embrace an ever growing audience with confident, show-stopping performances abroad and at home – memorably those at Glastonbury, Latitude and especially T In The Park.
Additionally, Frightened Rabbit are giving away a brand new, previously unheard track from their website, entitled “Son C”, having premiered it to their fans first over the weekend.
Scott (lead singer/songwriter) explains a bit about the song:
“As is often the case, death rears its head. Most days, I think briefly about the way in which I may die, and what will be left behind aside from a collection of fat, muscle, bones and apparently a fair bit of carbon and water. Death is really what defines life – without it the whole endeavour would feel a bit mundane and pointless. Procrastination would be extended to years, even decades – what would be the point of doing anything if you knew you would live forever? So death is what keeps me going, even more so than effervescent tablets…”
