Hard Rock International today revealed details of its second annual PINKTOBER™ charity concert, following the success of last year’s debut event. Taking place on Tuesday 5 October at the London’s IndigO2, the concert will host exclusive performances from top female pop acts, including The Bangles, Beverley Knight, Amy Macdonald and many more to be announced.
Hard Rock’s PINKTOBER campaign is an annual global initiative, hosted each October, to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. The campaign features limited-edition products, as well as a series of live music and fundraising events at Hard Rock establishments around the world. In the UK, funds will be raised for the Caron Keating Foundation, which offers financial support and grants to all types of cancer charities, professional carers, complimentary healing practitioners, as well as individuals and families who are affected by the disease.
Tickets are priced from £25-35 and go on sale on August 11th on link. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Caron Keating Foundation, with 5 October marking what would have been Caron’s 48th birthday.
“The PINKTOBER program is an important initiative that brings together everything Hard Rock stands for – philanthropy, amazing music, iconic merchandise and delicious menu offerings,” said Hamish Dodds, president and CEO, Hard Rock International. “We’re proud to continue to show our support for the Caron Keating Foundation through this PINKTOBER charity concert, and are extremely honored that we can pay tribute to Caron on what would have been her 48th birthday.”
It is so exciting and humbling to be involved through Caron’s Foundation with Hard Rock’s Pinktober for the fourth consecutive year” added Gloria Hunniford, mother of Caron and co-founder of the Caron Keating Foundation. “The money Hard Rock has raised through supporters and fans through the Pinktober programme has enabled us to help cancer charities around Britain. My gorgeous and vibrant daughter Caron was diagnosed in her 30’s with breast cancer and although she fought it with great tenacity for seven years she sadly lost her battle in 2004. Caron left behind her two boys, Charlie and Gabriel, 16 and 13. The boys also get involved in the foundation and as a family run business with the only expense being a part time secretary we can assure you that all money raised will go to really deserving cancer charity causes.”
Amy Macdonald said ‘I'm really happy and honoured to be supporting such a wonderful cause. And it's great that we can have such a fun packed evening and raise money at the same time’
“I am delighted to be performing at Hard Rock’s Pinktober concert on October 5 and to help raise money for such a great cause, the Caron Keating Foundation’ said Beverley Knight, ‘I performed a Pinktober show at Hard Rock London two years ago and it’s great to come back and continue my support for this fantastic charity”
