In Gratitude - Moving On

In Gratitude – Moving On

Armed with a distinct and authentic sound, the South West’s In Gratitude are making quite the name for themselves with their impressive live shows. This, no doubt due to their attention grabbing blend of atmospheric instrumentation and huge hook-laden pop flirtations, that perfectly lay the foundations for Matthew Guttridge’s impressive vocals.

Drawing influences from the likes of The Police to alternative rock of Jimmy Eat World and Copeland, the collection of songs that makes up their Peter Miles (Sweet Billy Pilgrim, The King Blues, Martin Grech) produced debut EP, ‘Only In Youth’, are bursting at the seams with timeless pop sensibilities, whilst remaining tender enough tp avoid the throwaway pop tag and boast a classic sound.

The songs, as Guttridge explains, are about “love, lost and found and the excitement of breaking out of mundane 9-5 lifestyles and chasing dreams.” With a second EP on the cards for early 2011, the quartet show no signs of faltering or giving up on those dreams.
