Breakbot – Baby I'm Yours
The sleeper hit of 2010, 'Baby I'm Yours', by Ed Banger's newest recruit BREAKBOT, was re-released on limited edition 10″ vinyl on August 6th. Initially released in March this year, the track has garnered support from bloggers, disco dancers and DJs alike and is well on its way to becoming a colossal Summer anthem. The new package is backed with no doubt one of the videos of the year. Hand-made by artist IRENA DAKEVA with over 2000 individual watercolour paintings, it is a truly tantalising, visual masterpiece.
Irena & Breakbot had many influences when creating the video; “We wanted to do something with a hand made feeling, as a reaction to all the computer graphics that we see everyday on TV. We thought it would be more appropriate to the song, which is kind of retro. And of course I always loved traditional animation. There's a lot of music videos that I really love, for example ‘Can You Feel It’ by the Jacksons always makes me smile. Irina and I really love the “Lucy in the Sky” sequence in the Yellow Submarine video, and it was obviously a very good reference in terms of colors and graphics.”
'Baby I’m Yours’ also comes with a Beatport chart-topping remix from nu-disco dons Aeroplane. Remix of the year? We think so.
'Baby I'm Yours' may be romantic but it's not your average gushing ballad, rather an uplifting modern disco track with lyrics to make you swoon. On the vocals, for those who follow Ed Banger’s adventures you'll recognize Paris's secret womanizer IRFANE from OUTLINES.
