Scouting For Girls Take On The Charity Chopper Challenge

Scouting For Girls are pleased to announce the details of a charity bike ride in association with Wellchild this Summer.

The British pop band will embark on a 60 mile sponsored bike ride from London to Brighton on the 29th August, to raise money for the Wellchild charity. To make the ride more gruelling, the trio will ride the entire journey on chopper bikes. The band will set off from Wandsworth Park in London at 9am, and expect to arrive at The Grand Hotel, Brighton on Sunday 30th August at approximately 3pm.

In the evening the band will play an intimate acoustic show, 'An Evening With Scouting For Girls' at Brighton's Komedia venue. Tickets are on sale now from: link for £30, with all proceeds going to Wellchild.

Fans can now sponsor the band, or donate towards the ride and Wellchild at: link.

Roy Stride: “We don't quite know what we're letting ourselves in for with this one, but we're all pretty excited by it. Our 'training' has been sporadic at best, but we hope to get in shape a little nearer the time. Wellchild is a fantastic charity and we want to do whatever we can to help them out.

“Please sponsor us! It's going to be the toughest thing we've ever done!”

Wellchild is the national charity for sick children and provides practical help for children and their families. It is funded solely by the people of the UK. Scouting For Girls are official ambassadors of the charity.
