It’s hard to talk about White Rabbits without relating another American indie band. The band’s second album “It’s Frightening” had been produced by Spoon’s Britt Daniels and the end product as many critics pointed out sounded very much like Spoon themselves.
“The Salesman” is a lighthearted sounding track about the struggles of one man. The pounding drums and repetitive thick bass lines march continuously through your head whilst the falsetto vocal harmonies heard constantly throughout “It’s Frightening” ring through your ears pleasantly.
“The Salesman” will certainly bring two sides of people out just like “It’s Frightening” did. On one side it’ll be praised for its Spoon similarities whilst the other will criticise it for the exact same thing but hey, what’s really original in this day and age?
