Ou Est Frontman Commits Suicide

Lead singer of Ou Est Le Swimming Pool Charles Haddon, 22, has reportedly committed suicide just hours after a performance at Pukkelpop festival in Belgium.

The English synthpop trio from Camden, London have released three singles to date and were busy playing a wealth of festivals this summer prior to their debut album release. Blessed with growing success and tipped to be a driving force in their scene over coming years, the news has come as a shock to many people.
Just hours after playing to a large crowd, first reports indicate that he may have jumped from a satellite mast backstage. The Pukkelpop festival has not seen much luck this year, with a member of The Call passing away due to a heart attack a few days earlier.
There are also reports a girl was severely injured during Ou Est’s performance after Haddon’s band mate Joe Hutchinson jumped into the crowd. Our thoughts are with his family and his band and we will keep you updated on any further developments in this tragic story.
