The Libertines played their first gig in six years last night (25th August) and it could be more of a permanent reunion the band have suggested.
The rockers reformed especially for this weekend's Reading and Leeds festivals but have hinted that they could be back for the long run.
“I think that decision will actually come at that point of time,” Barat told NME when asked if they planned to carry on after the festivals, adding that he “would love to continue doing this”.
Libertines bassist John Hassall chipped in: “I think it's obviously very important how these gigs go. Not for everyone else, but for ourselves. The focus is on these shows, then we'll see what happens.
“Really you couldn't say at the moment, but yeah, it's definitely possible, definitely.”
