TELLISON are finally set to release their first new material in a year, since the split single ‘Wasps Nest’ with Johnny Foreigner in summer 2009,
with brand new track ‘Collarbone’. Guitarist Pete Phillips takes lead vocals on a the track which harnesses the raw power and pop sensibility of
‘Copper Blue’-era Sugar with the gentle British song writing humour and wit of Elvis Costello and Peter Gabriel. The track will be released as a
limited edition 7″ and digital EP (with digital only exclusive/unreleased tracks) released in November 1st through Big Scary Monsters
(Andrew WK, Pulled Apart By Horses, Men) but available to pre-order online and from the band during their October tour with Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly.
After a year of writing and a summer of recording (and playing Truck Festival), TELLISON have recently completed their second album
with producer Peter Miles (The King Blues, Frank Turner, Futures), where they relocated to an old stately home in Scotland and made a mess
for a month. The album is amazing. You will love it. More info to come soon.
They have now set their sights on playing live solidly for the next year, starting with the main support slot with Get Cape, Wear Cape through
October, with a few headline slots around the tour. TELLISON will then head out for a small run of UK headline shows in November (to be announced in
the coming week) around ‘Collarbone’s release, before heading to Europe for the first time with some TBA shows in Paris, Brussels and more.
Live wise, over the last 2 years the band have covered the length and breadth of the UK building up a rabid fan-base, touring extensively as a headline act, along the way playing shows and joining tours with the likes of Walter Shriefels, Gallows, Mumford and Sons, Noah & the Whale, Frank Turner, Biffy Clyro and Bombay Bicycle Club.
