Following an extensive tour of the USA and constant gigging all over his native Ireland, alt-rock posterboy Aaron Shanley (link) makes his UK debut this autumn with his first album ‘Let The Sun In’ and his first set of live dates in England.
Showcasing a range of different genre influences, Aaron fuses the epic musical beauty of alternative rock bands like Goo Goo Dolls and Jimmy Eat World with the catchy folk-pop hooks of contemporary singer-songwriters like Alan Pownall and Jay Jay Pistolet.
The 20-year-old musician has already won the heart of BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson, and earlier this year was awarded the prestigious Katherine Brick Award for Young Songwriter of the Year via the international Belfast Nashville Songwriters’ Festival.
Aaron’s debut album ‘Let The Sun In’ is released through Love Gum Records on October 25th with a London launch at The Regal Room on October 28th.
Prior to this, Aaron heads out on a stripped down solo acoustic tour of the UK, with dates as follows:
30.09 – BELFAST No Alibis Bookstore
05.10 – LONDON The Old Queen’s Head
06.10 – BRISTOL The Canteen
07.10 – IPSWICH The Blue Room
08.10 – CAMBRIDGE CB2 Bistro
09.10 – LONDON Proud Gallery
Aaron is currently giving away a free MP3 track ‘Coming Down’, taken from the new album. It’s available via SoundCloud here: link.
