The UK’s new number one boyband are set to follow up their debut smash hit with their second release. The brilliant new single, Heart Vacancy, will be released the week before the band’s hotly anticipated debut as-yet-untitled album, due on 25th October.
All Time Low smashed into the charts at #1 this summer and announced The Wanted to the country. Their legions of fans have been causing hysteria at the band’s public appearances. And on-line, the story is the same. Over 150,000 fans on Facebook and rising and the All Time Low video alone clocking up over 3.5million hits on YouTube.
Heart Vacancy is a touching love song with Max, Siva, Jay, Nathan and Tom’s heartfelt, soulful vocals combined with tender lyrics, acoustic guitar and a smooth bassline.
Group-member Nathan had this to say about the track: “We’re really looking forward to releasing Heart Vacancy – it shows a completely different side to us and will hopefully, set the tone for our upcoming album! It's about a girl that's been hurt in the past, who you try to convince to trust you and hope she realises it will be different with you.”
The stunning video for Heart Vacancy was filmed in Croatia with directors Max and Dania, the team behind this summer’s smash StreetDance 3D. The video will be premiered in September across the country at secret screening locations.
The boys played their biggest show to date this summer at The Summer Time Ball at Wembley Stadium, putting on an amazing show. The Wanted were part of the new artists slot alongside Ellie Goulding and Tinie Tempah.
Tom spoke about their excitement of reaching number one: “It's all down to the fans. We put a lot of work into it but you never really know until the day you release it…and what a day that was!!”
But there’s more to come on their debut album, which includes contributions from some of the greatest songwriters/producers in pop from Guy Chambers to Taoi Cruz and Cathy Dennis. Speaking of their debut album, Jay tells fans what they can expect. “I’d say it was edgy pop, but there’s a bit of rock and a bit of indie in there too. It’s taking a bit of risk I think, it’s certainly not your usual boyband stuff.
The CD single continues the theme of a fan-suggested B-side after the success of the boys’ cover of ‘Fight For This Love’, which featured of their debut release ‘All Time Low’. The E-Single will include remixes courtesy of DJs From Mars and Tonka.
