Best Coast Announce New Single And Tour
Summer may be coming to an end, but don’t despair, LA’s finest Best Coast are set to release an aural dose of Vitamin D in the shape of single Crazy For You, the title track from their acclaimed debut album, on 1st November.
Clocking in at just under two minutes, Crazy For You is a love you/hate you/love you blast of breezy guitar-pop perfection. With lines like “I want to hit you but then I kiss you / I want to kill you but then I’d miss you” Crazy for You sports some killer couplets, delivered with the wit and charm of 23-year old Bethany Cosentino.
Best Coast return to Europe for headline dates in November/December following a packed out London show at Cargo in August. The tour makes three UK stops at Manchester, Birmingham and London. The trio tour the US throughout September.
Crazy For You has been hailed by many as one of this year’s best albums. The NME summed it up when they said “Best Coast have shot straight to the top of the pile for two reasons: great songs, and immense charm” before naming Best Coast their No.1 favourite new band of 2010.
The album entered the UK Top 75 and US Top 40 upon release and previous single Boyfriend has topped the No.1 spot on blog aggregator site Hype Machine no less than five times.
Best Coast are Bethany Cosentino (vocals/guitar) Bobb Bruno (bass) and Ali Koehler (drums).
