Circa Survive’s European tour hits the UK next week and the band have announced that their gig at London’s Scala on Wednesday September 15 will be broadcast live on the internet via Ustream. Fans worldwide will be able to tune in here – link – at 9pm GMT to see what’s sure to be an incredible live show in the capital.
The band release brand new single ‘Imaginary Enemy’ on September 20 through Atlantic Records. It’s the second single to be taken from their new album ‘Blue Sky Noise’, produced by Grammy Award winner David Bottrill (Tool, Muse), which was released to critical acclaim in July. Kerrang said “Blue Sky Noise is a game changer…colourful, expressive, weird and wonderful” (4K’s) whilst Rock Sound declared it their ‘album of the month’ – “Circa Survive's music not only takes flight but also soars higher and further than ever before.” (9/10). In the US ‘Blue Sky Noise’ debuted at number 11 on the Billboard top 200 and went straight in at number one on both the Alternative album chart and Vinyl album chart.
The Pennsylvanian quintet formed in 2004 and unleashed their acclaimed debut, ‘Juturna’ the following year. The album – coupled with the band’s relentless touring – saw the birth of a fervent fan following, one which would catapult 2007’s sophomore release, ‘On Letting Go’ to a Top 25 chart debut on the Billboard top 200. A remarkably volatile live act, Circa Survive have headlined numerous sold out tours while also sharing stages with an array of independent-minded artists, including My Chemical Romance, Coheed & Cambria, The Gaslight Anthem, Pelican, Rise Against, and countless others.
