Senses Fail are delighted to announce that they are releasing their brand new album titled ‘The Fire’ on 25th October through Hassle records (Cancer Bats, Alkaline Trio, Trash Talk).
The first pressing of their forthcoming fourth full-length will also contain a limited edition live concert film on DVD. The seven-camera HD shoot was filmed on October 31, 2009 when the NJ-based band headlined a hometown Halloween show at Starland Ballroom where they were joined by guitarist Heath Saraceno who had recently left the band. The DVD features over 90 minutes of live footage and interviews with the band and was directed by Adam Rothlein (My Chemical Romance, The Get Up Kids, Ben Folds). When the first pressing runs out, subsequent physical copies of the album will contain the CD only.
The Fire is an incredible blend of the most catchy punk riffs and bone-crushing metallic break-downs – a sound that Senses Fail has been executing at its highest level for a few years. On their previous efforts Let It Enfold You (2004), Still Searching (2006) and Life Is Not A Waiting Room (2008) the band were seen breaking through the ranks at a tremendous speed and they’re showing no signs of slowing down if the hunger on this new record is anything to go by.
The band once again recorded with producer Brian McTernan at his Salad Days studio outside Baltimore, Maryland.
“We worked on this record for 8 months and I can say without a doubt that we put every single shred of energy and passion into these songs,” said singer Buddy Nielsen. “The record is a journey and it reflects our experiences over the last two years. It’s a reaction and a release of a whirlwind of emotions that came from fighting for what we love, and dealing with change and growth both personally and creatively. I'm so proud of the work we have done and so proud of the job that Brian McTernan did in navigating the process.
I think one of the reasons people like Senses Fail is because we are honest with ourselves and honest with our music,“ he added. “Our passion and love for what we do is what makes our music feel alive and I don't think we've ever felt more alive.”
