Rocklands Present… Artful '10

Artful is a month-long series of events taking place in south-east London, a showcase for grass roots promotion and upcoming musicians and artists, with impromptu involvement from higher profiles supporting them. Events include installations, exhibitions, visual arts, gigs, clubnights and a whole lot more. It brings together some of the most exciting happenings in the capital, giving those involved the opportunity to network socially on line, and sociably on land.

The line-up so far includes Manflu, Meddicine, Youthless, Lekiddo Lord Of The Lobsters, Orpheus Knoxx, Rhiannon The Nightmare, The Tricks, Robot Disaster, Eska, Warehouse Republic, Lois Magic, The Breadstealers, Edit/Select, Scarlet O’Hara, Trogons, Jean-Genie, Dex Lutha, Harold Fergus, The Bodells, MC Rhymes (Queens English), JD Smith, Anita Maj (Artful goes USA), The Freewheelin’ Troubadour, Ceri James and Silky Boys (Brits Abroad).

Previous Artfuls have featured the likes of Tracey Emin, Radiohead, Lightspeed Champion, Julien Temple, Artful Dodger and KASMs. More events will be added as the month progresses, and you can keep track of the programme at link from Tuesday September 28.

Artful is working with a range of live music event promoters, writers, photographers, film makers and influential music and culture media including Rupert Hitchcox, Polstar Photography, Masonde Luteta, Look At Me London, Heather Minx Ferguson, Minx Media, Xstream East Radio, One Bird Records and God Is In The TV, and Joyzine and Artful visual/style residents Matt Sargeant, Chris Getliffe, Hannah Perry, Eugene Ankomah, Andrei Nedelea, Ann-Marie Mullarkey, Tristan Scutt, Love Your Endz and Creative Process.

The highlights will be documented on video in collaboration with Sketch World TV, a London-based online channel producing accessible content.
Artful launches on September 30 with a free-entry party at pirate-bar The Black Flag, 44 Lewisham Way (left of Goldsmiths), London SE14 with host DJ Jean-Genie (Resonance FM, Panda~Power!, Rocklands), from 7-11pm. It's an invitation to come on board, make new friends and see what other people are up to. We'd love to see you there.
