This is the news you have been waiting for…
The brand-spanking new Banana Klan Soundsystem is debuting at Passing Clouds, Dalston. It will feature some of the hottest talents in the UK hip-hop/reggae scene, not least the regal Roots Manuva.
If his hit albums like Run Come Save Me, Awfully Deep and Slime & Reason (along with the others like Dub Come Save Me), are anything to go by it should not only be a dream come true for Rodney Smith, but a match made in heaven for the other artists such as, Connie & Di Man Dem, Triston, Photo Machine, Rebel 1 and Darren Judge. This however, is only the first phase, according to the latest podcast from the soundsystem (to be found at link).
Hopefully all will be performing original material and debuting new tracks in the show lasting from 8pm to 3am as tickets will be starting from £8 (advance) and £10 (on the door), though it might be well advised to book now in order to avoid disappointment.
“This is proper soundsystem study. This like an assignment, this like taking you back to them days, without the danger of those times”. An awesome night is ensured for all those lucky enough to attend.
