Having released one of this year’s most critically acclaimed albums, Diamond Eyes, Sacramento’s finest return to our shores this November for a UK tour. Not only are Deftones one of the most important bands in modern rock, they are also one of the most explosive, passionate live bands you will ever see.
Deftones frontman Chino Moreno: “We’re excited to be returning to the UK and Europe this Fall for our first proper headline run for Diamond Eyes. The new stuff is sounding huge live and has been a blast to perform, as well as the oldies but goodies we plan to sneak in the sets. It's gonna be rad!
Support on the UK tour comes from Coheed and Cambria. Frontman Claudio Sanchez is equally excited about the tour: “We are really psyched. I love the new Deftones record and to be able to return to the UK and Europe with them is really exciting, it’s the perfect tour for us.”

2010 also marks 10 years since the release of the bands seminal album, “White Pony”. To celebrate, a double vinyl edition of the album has been made available EXCLUSIVELY on ukundercurrent.com/store from September 13th.
Produced and mixed by Nick Raskulinecz (Alice in Chains, Coheed & Cambria, Foo Fighters), and recorded and engineered by Paul “Fig” Figueroa (Alice in Chains, Bad Religion), ‘Diamond Eyes’ is a powerful combination of muscular impact and expansive atmospherics that charts the latest development in the band’s ever growing sonic range.
Opening with the title track’s grinding riffs and near subliminal hook, the album’s range encompasses the blowtorch attack of ‘CMND/CNTRL’ and the sinister melancholy that underpins ‘Beauty School’. As ever, the album blends the band’s seamless ability to float between genres. New single ‘Sextape’ (out October 4th) glides with an eerie, discomforting beauty, while the combination of battering rhythms and Chino Moreno’s harsh howl ensure that ‘Royal’ demonstrates Deftones’ continuing ability to enthrall with visceral sounds.
‘Diamond Eyes’ also represents former Quicksand bassist Sergio Vega’s recording debut with Deftones. Vega is standing in for Chi Cheng, who was seriously injured in a car accident in November 2008.
