Yes, the BFI have launched an application for mobile users that gives them an entire guide to this year’s London Film Festival.
Filmwerk have had a good look at this and was very impressed by what they found. Every film and event is listed in various sorts of order (date of screenings, alphabetical, categories, venue…) Each film comes with all the details you need as well as a full synopsis and sometimes even the trailer so you know what you are in for. This feature alone can be instrumental in whether you buy a ticket or not as you can really do your research on each film being screened. Let’s hope they manage to update more of the films with available trailers.
There is also news available and general info on the festival and booking information. You can also create your own favourites and effectively plan your schedule as well as send alerts amongst your friends and colleagues. Best of all, it is absolutely free to download.
You can find the app here www.bfi.org.uk/lff. It is also available in places such as the iTunes store.
