Rockness Are Looking For Ambassadors

Due to the incredible success in 2010 RockNess is once again running their ambassadors scheme to find the entrepreneurial music-loving students who aspire to a career in the live entertainment and music industry.

The golden opportunity from the team behind the fast rising RockNess festival, is a call to action for dynamic students to become official RockNess Ambassadors between now and June, with the responsibility of marketing and promoting the festival in their area. They will also be responsible for selling their own tickets and will get the chance to make a commission on every sale that they make! So if you don’t fancy a part time job in Tesco but would prefer to make money doing something you love, then it’s time to sign up now.

At the end of the campaign, the most promising, creative and passionate ambassador will be offered a six month internship at AEG Live – one of the world's biggest live events promoters.

Working directly alongside Jim King, Director of RockNess and Managing Director of Loud Sound, who will mentor intern through their time at AEG Live, the successful intern will learn a broad range of skills connected to the live music industry. This really is an exceptional opportunity for students who possess the right qualities. An obvious love & knowledge of music is a must but an ability to work within a highly pressurized and fast paced environment is essential!

Stephen Fraser speaks about how the scheme has affected his career: “The AEG Ambassador scheme was a great success, being a student looking for jobs in music, I soon found out that it can be very hard to find that first 'big break'. The ambassador scheme gave me the opportunity to show what I can do on a professional scale. It is a great insight to how a big promotions company works. Peers and industry professionals now take me more seriously as I now have the contacts and the AEG name on my CV. The scheme is beneficial both in terms of contacts and furthermore money. For being an ambassador, I received a free ticket to Rockness and also ticket-based commission. It pays to put 110% into your promotions as the cash rewards will be even greater. Working as an ambassador paid off all my student debts and now I'm to start working in the big smoke for an established worldwide promotions company. IDEAL.“
