Susan Boyle Pulled Out Of Her Performance On Dancing With The Stars

The ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ singer was due to perform on the US celebrity dance contest tonight (05.10.10) but didn’t fly from her native Scotland to Los Angeles on the advice of her doctor.

Her spokesperson said: “Susan Boyle has had to cancel her performance on 'Dancing with the Stars' as her doctor advised her not to sing due to a severe throat infection.

“Susan is very upset at letting her fans down. Their continued support means so much to her.”

The 49-year-old singer – who shot to fame when she auditioned for UK TV show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ – was to sing her version of Leonard Cohen’s song ‘Hallelujah’ on the show, which was to be recorded last night (04.10.10).

Host Tom Bergeron will make a statement explaining her absence when the show is aired tonight (05.10.10).

This is the second time Susan has been forced to pull out of a US TV performance at the last minute.

Last month the singer was prevented from performing the track ‘Perfect Day’ on 'America's Got Talent' with a 100 piece choir, when the slot had to be pulled at the last minute because the rights to the song weren't cleared in time for US audiences.

Susan was left in tears and appeared visibly upset at the airport in Los Angeles as she prepared to fly back to the UK.

A source said at the time: “Susan was heartbroken at such a mean-spirited snub.”

'Dancing with the Stars' will be shown on US TV tonight.
