Jay Mya – In The Morning

Jay Mya, formally known as ‘J Yezza’ is singer/songwriter from Rotherham. Not known for producing urban talent, Jay Mya has managed to break from the shackles and through hard work and persistence he is ready to launch an assault on the UK charts.

His upcoming debut single ‘In The Morning’ uses the current formula which is so successful in the charts at the moment, the track is very catchy and the chorus is one that will definitely stick in your head for days at a time. Jay describes his music as a mix of Pop, Dance, R&B & Modern-day Grime; using the likes of Calvin Harris and Example as inspiration he describes his music as current. He also compares his rapping style as modern-day Grime but I would compare his lyrical flow as similar to US Rappers Flo Rida and Pitbull. Aiming to replicate the massive success of those artists Jay is aiming for the very top and will not settle for second best.

Having co-signs from Tinchy Stryder, who Jay supported on his 2009 tour, Lisa Mafia, Wiley, Lethal Bizzle, Example and Chipmunk it’s easy to see how respected Jay Mya is in the music industry.

Having recently signed with the London-based Record label, Agency Global, Jay is due to release his debut single ‘In The Morning’ through Universal Records on 29th November.
