Trentemoller - Manchester Academy 2
Live Review

Trentemoller – Manchester Academy 2

Whether it was some sort of drug, the overall music or both Trentemoller sure had an effect on one particular in the crowd as he swayed around with his arms open as if he was possessed by some ghostly apparation. As you look around it becomes apparent that it isn’t just this one individual that taken by the Dane.

Andres Trentemoller and his band mates exhume a charisma both audibly and visually. How about listening to the gorgeous euphoric chime like melodies of ‘Miss You’ whilst you watch projections of a man diving into another world? Random choice you may ask? Not at all. Close your eyes and Trentemoller could have easily taken you out of this world.

As soon as the beast that is ‘Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!’ was unleashed it was like a volcano had erupted in the very heart of Manchester’s student land.

It’s as if the likes of Radiohead, Portishead and Massive Attack were all brought together. The rapid percussive samples made it seem as if your body was being twisted into a totally new perspective and the gorgeous melodies filled your body with a sweet sensation. Carlsberg advertises itself on being probably the best beer in the world. If Carlsberg did electronic producers, Trentemoller would probably be just that.
