Canadian foursome and purveyors of angular infectious indie Born Ruffians are heading to UK and European shores this November, and are releasing a special seven track EP to coincide.
The ‘Plinky Plonk EP’ contains two new tracks, a drastically new version of album track ‘Retard Canard’ and remixes of tracks from recent album ‘Say It’ by VOWLS and touring buddies The Acorn, who join the band for their forthcoming dates in Leeds and London. One of the new tracks is ‘First Date Kid’, a collaboration with Tokyo Police Club.
The CD (limited to 1000 worldwide) will initially be available only at the band’s shows, with a digital release on November 22nd.
In addition the band have premiered a new video (directed by Jared Raab) for ‘Nova-Leigh’, a track from ‘Say It’ that appears in remixed form thanks to The Acorn on the forthcoming EP.

Their debut album Red, Yellow & Blue laid the foundations in 2008, with 3 singles awarded ‘Record of the Week’ at Radio 1, including Hummingbird, a track that the band performed in an episode of Skins, appeared in Orange’s ‘balloon’ ad campaign and became a staple of indie clubs across the country.
Second album Say It saw the band teaming up again with producer Rusty Santos (who previously worked with Animal Collective, Panda Bear and more recently, Owen Pallett), and was followed by a week of riotous shows in May including a headline slot at The Great Escape.
