The 'Pop Ya Collar' hitmaker admits his pending divorce from Tameka Foster has put him off getting married again, but he is tempted to find some “open-minded” women to keep him company instead.
He said: “Seeing how marriage didn't work out for me the first time, I'm in no rush to do it again. Maybe I can find a couple of women who are open-minded. Look at how Hugh Hefner does it, with a harem of women.”
The 32-year-old rapper filed for divorce from Tameka – who he has two children with – last year, claiming they had been living separately for months.
Although he admits the split was difficult, he claims his career was boosted because people are always interested in “train wrecks”.
He told America's Playboy magazine: “In an era when sensationalism is more prevalent than anything, yeah, the split helped my popularity. People love a train wreck. Lindsay Lohan – everybody is eager to see how that comes out. This is somewhat the same thing.”
Usher doesn't plan on rushing straight into a new relationship, but admits he can be won over by chat up lines.
He added: “Every so often you meet a woman who's very aggressive: 'I'll make you feel things you've never felt in your life.' Or, 'Once you get it, you'll never let it go.' But a couple of times it's worked.”
