Are you dancing? Because Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs is asking. Stepping out of the dark corner of the club and onto the edge of the dance floor, Orlando Higginbottom’s profile has grown significantly since his last EP All In Two Sixty Dancehalls cut through nightspots and airwaves all summer. Its balance of pop sensibility, sharp basslines and dance floor melancholy charming everyone from Annie Mac to Laurent Garnier and marking him out as one of the dance music’s brightest new talents.
'Household Goods', already garnering major Radio 1 support, picks up where last single 'Garden' left off. Its unsure, soft lyrics and 80s high school chimes rub shoulders with urgent rushes of energy, bouncing back and forth leaving the listener unsure as to the result of our unlikely hero’s awkward advances on the lonely girl on the dance floor. So what of the girl? Well maybe the clue lies in 'Waulking Song': the long, lonely walk home, the mind wandering as a siren call repeatedly beckons over a warm old school bassline, an ethereal chant laid down over vintage 808 State for 7 dreamy minutes.
It’s the varied musical spectrum from the 24 year old, jungle-loving son of an Oxford Music Professor that makes TEED unique, and why he is so beloved by Greco-Roman: the Berlin/London record label and collective of artists, musicians and DJs. Pausing for thought he asks himself 'How Far', casts aside his youthful desire and steps up with some tough garage, an expertly crafted lesson in Jump-Up for the post-dubstep generation.

Orlando is now in an exclusive club of young artists being tipped to cross-over and have a big say in 2011, with the release of his debut artist album scheduled for May. Partly down to his breakthrough single Garden – which cut through nightspots and airwaves all summer – and his recent stand-out, bass-heavy remixes for Sky Ferreira, Professor Green, Tinashe and Fenech Soler, that have all received tons of support and praise for the 24-year old. It's also the totally enormous live shows that really make him stand-out from the crowd, alongside dinosaur dancers equipped with glitter cannons (of course!), Orlando is carving a reputation for himself as a must-see artist!
