Having released two of the best indie singles of the year with Found Love In A Graveyard and Beachy Head (on long sold-out 7”s on Trouble Records and No Pain In Pop respectively),
Veronica Falls are now readying themselves to record their eagerly anticipated debut album at the end of November. 'Right Side Of My Brain' provides us with the first taster of what is to come whilst serving as a reminder of all that is great about the band’s line in ramshackle pop: marrying melodic girl/boy vocals to rollicking riffs that build to a frenetic climax as Roxanne issues her sweetly sung protest: “Take your hands off me”.
The band round off a year that has seen them play with the likes of Teenage Fanclub, Slow Club and The Drums with a UK tour with hotly-tipped newcomers Cloud Nothings that starts this week. Catch them at the following shows:
