With just over two weeks to go until Channel 4 stages its spectacular music event, T4’s Stars of 2010 with Samsung Galaxy Europa at London’s Earls Court, we can now reveal the final confirmed line-up which is full of chart-topping stars.
Britain’s sexiest girlband The Saturdays promise to give the T4 crowd an unforgettable Sunday, as the girls go all out with hot dance moves sure to whip male fans into a frenzy.
The UK’s leading grime artist collective Roll Deep join the stellar line-up to perform the tracks that propelled them to the top of the charts earlier this year. The Urban Music Award-winning group will storm the stage for a headline-grabbing, high energy performance.
Hits like Starry Eyed and Under the Sheets made 2010 Ellie Goulding’s year, so we can’t wait to see her top it all off with a show stealing performance at Earls’ Court.
2010 has undoubtedly been the year when Grime dominated the UK music scene, so how better to celebrate than by having the cream of the UK’s hip hop and grime scene all come together for an exclusive collaboration. Tinchy Stryder will join fellow T4’s Stars of 2010 performers Tinie Tempah, Professor Green and Example plus two of the hottest names on the rap scene, Devlin and Giggs, for a performance specially created for T4’s Stars of 2010.
Tickets for the event on Sunday 21st November are being snapped up fast, so those keen to celebrate 2010 in style with the T4 gang, should head to the T4 website link and grab theirs before it’s too late.
As well as the stunning list of top musical talent, fans will be treated to appearances from a host of Channel 4 and T4 celebs, including the lads from Britain’s favourite comedy, The Inbetweeners, follically charmed funnyman Keith Lemon, fashion guru Gok Wan, and Commonwealth Games double gold medalist Tom Daley .
T4’s Stars of 2010 has joined forces with Samsung Galaxy Europa, the new phone from Samsung, to search for T4’s ‘Chatstar’ – the UK’s fastest and wittiest social media star. If you think you’re the UK’s best tweeter, you’ve got to register at link then build a profile of tweets, images, comments and updates before rallying your friends and followers to support your campaign. Finalists will compete against each other live from the event, and live on the TV show, as the T4 crowd and T4 viewers cast their vote for who has the best ‘chat’. The ‘Chatstar of 2010’ will win the ultimate prize; gig tickets for events throughout 2011 which feature all the artists from T4’s Stars of 2010 line-up.
There will also be a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of your favourite stars at the Celebrity Disco, plus a once in a lifetime chance to become a star yourself, with a big catwalk model competition run by top scouts from international modelling agency Elite Models. Could you be the UK’s next supermodel star?
Those who aren’t able to get their hands on a ticket can watch the event live on the day on Channel 4 and 4Music from 2.25pm, in a jam-packed two and a half hour show. Nick Grimshaw and Jameela Jamil will present T4 throughout the morning before handing over to Steve Jones, Miquita Oliver and Rick Edwards for the main event. Viewers will be treated to all the latest action from Earls Court with exclusive news and gossip from behind the scenes, as well as the usual dose of T4 fun and games.
The show also marks the last ever T4 appearance of Steve Jones, who will bow out from T4 after seven years presenting the flagship youth programme.
Rick Edwards said: “We’re literally counting down the days until we get up on that stage. The guys and I are going to get Earls Court rocking and I for one can’t wait to get the show started. Bring it on.”
