Trey Songz – Bottoms Up

R&B superstar Trey Songz releases his fourth album, Passion, Pleasure & Pain in the UK on November 1 via Atlantic Records. The record sold more than 244,000 in its first week and debuted at no.2 on the US Billboard Pop chart, beaten only by Linkin Park by just 1000 copies. It boasts the track ‘Bottoms Up’ featuring 2010’s undisputed Queen of Hip Hop, Nicky Minaj. Already play listed on Choice FM, the single is also enjoying strong support from the likes of Tim Westwood, Trevor Nelson and Mista Jam on Radio 1 as well as Kiss FM and Galaxy.

Since making his recording debut in 2005, Trey Songz has patiently and artfully crafted some of the most acclaimed and compelling R&B music of the decade. His first three albums, I Gotta Make It (2005), Trey Day (2007) and Ready (2009) have produced between them a string of Top 10 US singles, garnered Trey two coveted Grammy nominations and earned him a BET Award for Best RnB male. He also embarked on his first European headline tour selling out Indigo 02 and Birmingham Academy. In addition to this, he supported Hip-Hop legend JAY-Z on his sold out tour of the US. This steady but successful rise marks the validation of the faith shown in Trey by the late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun who hailed him as one of “the most promising R&B artists we have had since we started the company 60 years ago.”

Now, with the release of Passion, Pleasure & Pain, Trey Songz is more than ready to claim his place in the pantheon of R&B greats.
