Following the phenomenal success of his debut ‘Just The Way You Are’, Bruno Mars has unleashed the video for his second single ‘Grenade’, which is set for release in January 2010. Following this, his hugely anticipated debut album ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ will be released in the UK too.
Bruno says of the new video: “Today, I get to share with you the visual companion piece to my new single, 'Grenade.' The song is about loving someone so deeply, and the pain of knowing that the person you love does not feel the same.”
Bruno Mars has already taken the UK by storm since releasing his debut single in September – he has headlined a sold out London show and supported friend and singer Travie McCoy on a string of UK and European dates. As well as this, his debut single ‘Just The Way You Are’ went straight to Number 1 in the UK charts and has now sold over 580,000 since its release – a feat that is hard to come by these days for new artists. All three singles combined, including the No. 1 smash hit ‘Nothin on You’ with B.o.B and ‘Billionaire’ with Travie McCoy have not only marked Bruno as a credible and versatile up-and-coming artist but have totalled over 1.3 million sales to date!
Having spent the past few years writing and co-writing songs for the likes of Flo Rida, Travie McCoy, Sugababes, Alexandra Burke and B.o.B, Bruno is now stepping out as an artist in his own right and if the success of Just The Way You Are is anything to go by… this Hawaiian native, now based in L.A, is set to take on the world.
