Let It Snow

Let It Snow

The news this week has been pretty much dominated by the weather and how the UK has ground to a standstill. I’m sorry to say this editorial is going to be no different. I am currently writing this wrapped in my duvet in an attempt to thaw out after having been stood at the bus stop for an hour or so trying to get in to the office before giving up and trudging home to work from the warmth of my bed.

It’s ridiculous the way the entire country can’t handle some adverse weather. Everyone seems to have forgotten it’s winter and this is winter weather. Why were we so unprepared? Why aren’t there enough snow ploughs and gritters? Why isn’t there enough salt for the roads? Did no one learn anything from the snow at the beginning of the year?

Anyway, there is loads of exciting things on the site this week to warm the cockles of your heart and keep you entertained while you stay warm. We have interviews with Sound of Guns, The Bullitts, Cloud Nothings and Athlete. Videos from The Maccabees, Joan As Policewoman, Miles Kane and Bruce Springsteen. We also have the chance for you to win an LTD watch, a Tim Minchin DVD and a Jimi Hendrix DVD and if all that wasn’t enough Haight-Ashbury and Let Loose (remember them?) are on the road.
