Following ‘Chicken Lips’ by dynamic duo Bassanovva, Sinden’s Grizzly label is back once again with Jon Giovanni’s ‘Take Off’, out on January 31st. Barely a year old, Grizzly is already recognised as one of the most forward thinking and exciting dance labels around, and they can expect some serious acclaim for this latest release.
Elusive, debonair, uber-talented, even legendary… all words you could use to describe our main protagonist, Signore Giovanni. With deep roots in London’s house music scene, by another name this Grammy award winner has tickled the charts, headlined our biggest festivals and kept the nation dancing with anthem after anthem. But now it’s time to release the alter ego from the basement.
Listening to ‘Take Off’ you are transported to the lunar disco. It’s hard edge boogie, more 2070 than 1970; ‘Barbra Streisand’ on a turbo rocket to the moon as effervescent beats dance with chopped synth stabs and a New Years Eve worthy countdown to complete the constellation.
