The world’s foremost multi-platform music media brand – NME – has announced Boxfresh as the official fashion partner of the NME Awards 2011.
British streetwear originators Boxfresh will sponsor the hotly-contested Best New Band category at the Awards, which was last year contested by The Big Pink, Bombay Bicycle Club, Mumford & Sons, The xx and La Roux.
Boxfresh will also have a presence across the whole NME Awards season. The full programme of events includes the country-wide NME Awards Tour, famous London NME Awards Shows, the NME Big Gig and the NME Awards themselves.
NME publishing director Paul Cheal says: “Boxfresh is a credible and highly appropriate fashion sponsor for the NME Awards, which define the best music – from the best breaking acts to the world’s most high profile bands. This year’s NME Awards season will set the agenda for the new musical year – and we’re looking forward to working with Boxfresh across all elements of the activity.”
Daniel Morris Managing Director of Boxfresh says: “Boxfresh has a great musical heritage for supporting up and coming independent artists. We felt our involvement as sponsors of the ‘Best Up and Coming Artist’ award and as the Official Fashion Partner felt completely natural. We are delighted to be involved in this years’ award events and further cement the relationship between our brand and Great British music”
The NME Awards 2011 will kick off in February with an unmissable line-up pulled together for the national NME Awards Tour featuring Crystal Castles, Magnetic Man, Everything Everything and The Vaccines.
