Chibuku Residents Party
Chibuku kicks of its 2011 account with another trailblazing residents party special on Jan 22nd. For anyone who was there at the NYE session just passed, all would attest to the fervent atmosphere the DJs who under pin the club’s musical manifesto continue to create, given full reign over The Masque from start to finish. For five pounds there’s the chance to see some real talent in action once more, with the iconic Theatre and Ink both being used for this brilliant Buku bash.
2010 was a huge year – the 10th birthday a notable highlight amid a brilliant 12 month period of typical Chibuku eclecticism, again bringing some of the world’s best live action and DJs to Liverpool. There’s plenty more in store, with February shaping up very nicely indeed to include Kele – live, Annie Mac, Nero, High Contrast any many more.
But it’s all about the opening party – The Theatre welcomes Future Disco’s Dom Chung and Liverpool legends James Rand and Mr. Paul for some delectable house and techno. Over in Ink, Chibuku opens the decks up to old friends the Beat Monkeys, local hero Rich Furness and deck technician Tane.
