Northern boys Boy Jumps Ship are thrilled to present their second self-helmed EP ‘Engines’, available on January 24th.
Jam-packed with toe-tapping choruses spearheaded by an onslaught of gang vocals, this four-headed sing-a-long machine has already begun to stamp it’s mark on the New Year as Rock Sound’s ‘Ones To Watch’ for 2011 and continue to expand their big-boot of an imprint with the choice cuts of summer-punk goodness on their new EP.
With a finger outstretched in the direction of Young Guns, Futures and Twin Atlantic, poppier tones ring through the likes of lead track ‘We Won’t Burn Out’ whilst grittier moments emerge on ‘In Oceans’, placing ‘Engines’ as an impressive driving force behind the band’s bright future.
Boy Jumps Ship are gearing up to announce a string of UK dates to support the release of ‘Engines’, in the mean time they have scheduled to play a hometown warm-up show with Francesqa. Date can be found below:
16th Feb – O2 Academy 2, Newcastle w/ Francesqa
