The Scottish edition of “Rewind – The 80s Music Festival” boasts 25 of the most iconic 80s artists. The Saturday 30th line-up features Tony Hadley, Rick Astley, Billy Ocean, Bananarama, ABC, Hue & Cry, The Bluebells, Go West, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, T’Pau, The Beat, Doctor & The Medics, and Cutting Crew.
The Sunday 31st July line-up features The Human League, Kim Wilde, Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw, Heaven 17, Fiction Factory, Imagination, The Real Thing, Toyah, China Crisis, Hazel O’Connor, and Modern Romance.
Originally launched at Henley-on-Thames in 2009, the 80s Rewind Music Festival was the surprise success of the year attracting 30,000 people. The festival was nominated for Best New Festival of 2009. In its second year at Henley-On-Thames (2010), the festival grew to capacity at 40,000 people and was broadcast for the first time on Sky Arts television.
2011 is the first year the organisers have confirmed a Scottish version of the festival. The all-star 80s line-up will perform at the historic setting of Scone Palace in Perthshire; the home of The Earls of Mansfield and the crowning palace of the Kings of Scotland. In addition to the massive line-up of 80s talent, the festival will include loads of other festival fun from Silent Discos to Live Karaoke bars along with Camping and Glamping (Glamorous Camping) options.
